The magistrate's records at SPRI tell us that Bleike was second engineer on the catcher 'Southern Shore' and that it is assumed that he was lost overboard whilst crossing from the 'Southern Venturer' whilst alongside at Leith. His body was not recovered.
He was married to Valborg Bleika and they had one child.
