The magistrate's records at SPRI tell us that Lie went missing after being told to move on board 'Southern Wilcox' following a fire, though he got the key for 'Southern Briar'. He had been living in barack B, room 21. He had attended a football match at Stromness on Saturday 24 November and stayed at Stromness overnight. He was last seen visiting the separator house on the Sunday evening.
